We wanted to do Christmas a little differently this year. Keeping it tinsel-tinged and quality street fueled but pushing the boundaries of what form a Christmas card can take, and, if you didn’t know already you can make some Brussel sprouts by grating an A5 Cutting mat!

Christmas is an amazing time of year and here at Contrast we understand how lucky we are to be looking forward to a festive period filled with food, drink and presents. This isn’t the case for everybody.

We took the concept of being ‘grateful’ and turned it on it’s head. We picked 5 objects we use everyday and as you do, grated them with an oversize cheese grater to magically turn them into something Christmassy. The footage of this was edited into a split frame with emphasised sound effects to create a playful tone of voice.

The resulting footage and stills created a series of teaser videos for our social accounts, images for our company Christmas cards plus a full length video. You can check out the full video with sound on Vimeo.

In conjunction with this we will be making a donation to Wood Street Mission to help make a positive difference to local children and families dealing with the impact of poverty. We encourage you to donate if you are able.
