			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We were recently approached by singer/songwriter <a href="http://www.facebook.com/fionafordmusic" target="_blank">Fiona Ford</a> who needed some help with her branding, album artwork &amp; photography as well as a social media strategy. We were happy to oblige and well placed to take this on varied task. As a full-service agency we have the benefit of being able to offer a vast range of creative services, from <a href="http://www.highcontrast.co.uk">photography</a> to coding, whilst keeping all work in-house.</p>
<p>In collaboration with the artist, Fiona, we honed into a specific style for the album artwork, before getting into the studio to bank some solid images that we could use as the back bone of the album visuals. Working with these we created a clean, cohesive design that pulled together all of the necessary copy without making things look too busy.</p>
<p>When it came to social media, we struck upon the idea of using Facebook as a platform from which to sell records. The key to making this work however was finding a way to make to purchasing and distribution process as simple as possible. Our solution to this was to create a custom tab that houses a Flash based console which allows visitors to view album information, listen to sample tracks and purchase either a full album or individual songs with ease. Payment is made via PayPal to keep the entire process as simple and secure as possible. The beauty of this system is that it keeps the artist in full control of their distribution process and sidesteps the fee&#8217;s associated through other channels such as iTunes. At the same time, any fans of the artist can quickly and easily preview and purchase the artists music with just a few clicks.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Throughout 2010 we have been working with a new recruitment start-up named <a href="http://www.icmprofessionals.com" target="_blank">ICM Professionals</a>. ICM provide high end recruitment solutions, predominantly to the oil &amp; gas industries. We were tasked with building an identity from scratch that would allow ICM to hit the ground running at an elite and unforgiving level. We formed a brand identity focused around the core values of ICM, namely the importance of introducing, connecting &amp; matching individuals, working these ideas into every facet of the company&#8217;s communications, from the logo, right through to the multi-lingual website and social media strategy. The result is a neat, cohesive brand that can cut it with oil &amp; gas exec&#8217;s whilst remaining approachable and personable.</p>

The launch of the brand started with a six week installation in Selfridges, London and was supported by a comprehensive marketing and PR campaign.</p>
<p>Contrast aided in designing the branding and created supporting material including ephemeral media, online presence, communications, packaging design, styling, photography and animation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Founded by the owners of Junk Shop, The Green Pound is a new scheme aimed to fight the recession while supporting the environment.</p>
<p>The idea is quite simple. Sell gift vouchers for local businesses that have ethical practices and donate profits to carbon reducing schemes.</p>
<p>The brief for the identity was to convey the green nature of the project and it’s Northern founding. Organic elements make up the logo including the Manchester Bee and Lancashire Rose.</p>
<p>The scheme is seeing steady growth, attracting businesses to join the scheme including The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester Climbing Centre, Holt Energy and ECOutlet to name a few.</p>

<p>Contrast recognised the importance of projecting a positive image online for 3J Finance and created a simple informative site that can grow with the companies needs. The site also captures potential recruitment candidates and stores them in our email marketing system for when new positions become available.</p>
