Ad Campaign 2009

High Contrast shot and produced a controversial campaign for the new Antonio Federici Ice Cream in 2009. Working with creative director Matt O’Connor, High Contrast provided the models, props, styling and photography for the campaign.

The ads rolled out in Delicious Magazine and attracted attention from National Press and from around the globe after the ‘Kiss Temptation’ ad was banned by the ASA.

Antonio Federici Gelato Italiano has recently been Voted Best Ice Cream in the World by The International Ice Cream Consortium 2009 and is now available to buy in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

Dig For Fire approached High Contrast to shoot the campaign photography for Blackburn College.

The brief was to shoot a broad cross-section of students across all courses. This involved us shooting nearly 40 students on site, over a period of two days, capturing each in a number of poses and interacting with props that could then be later used to interact with typography.

The images have so far been used on the Blackburn College website and will be used across prospectuses and general marketing material for the college.

Golley Slater approached High Contrast to shoot their latest safety awareness ad campaign for The National Grid.

The concept; smell gas?

The solution was to shoot a range of close-up portraits using people’s noses. The effect is quite striking when seen full size on a billboard.

A revolution for icecream as we know it!

Contrast provided the arsenal to attack the ice cream market included branding, photography, styling, viral, email marketing, packaging design, Flash website development and social media campaign.

Since the launch in mid-September, with creations such as The Sex Pistol, The Icecreamists have attracted attention from all over the globe and online following continues to grow at a rapid pace.

The Icecreamists are currently seeking a permanent site in central London.

“A self-proclaimed revolution in ice cream, the new brand is dripping in trendy imagery, graffiti-like fonts, scantily clad semi-goth models, edgy ice cream accoutrements and witty taglines and quotes. Clever flavour names, trendy graphics, downloadable wallpapers – even t-shirts and a pendant of their logo – are a part of a marking effort that parallels that of a new movie release.” If It’s Hip, It’s Here
